Frequently asked questions
Participating businesses must:
Be open for the full duration of the event (11:00 AM–3:00 PM)
Provide a chocolate or chocolate-themed treat, or request one be provided
Have enough treats available for the entire event
Welcome and engage attendees as they visit your location
If your businesses does not meet participation requirements, the business will forfeit reimbursement if:
Do not open for the event
Open late or close early
Run out of chocolate treats before the end of the event.
All participating businesses will be included in:
Event marketing and social media promotions
A printed Chocolate Walk map
Added as a co-host on the Facebook event
Businesses are encouraged to send photos, specials, or promotional information to simplyshoplocal@gmail.com for use in event marketing.
We encourage it! Have fun with your posts! Engage with current customers and let them know you are joining in the fun!
Businesses are encouraged to follow and share posts from Simply Shop Local on Facebook to help promote the event. The faster we sell out of tickets the better for planning purposes!

We encourage businesses to get creative and have fun with themed promotions. Examples include:
Signature drinks such as “Chasing Feathers” or “The Goose Is Loose”
Signature dishes such as “Wrong Turn Wings”
Photo spots, displays, or limited-time specials tied to the Goose Chase
